Mrs. Lisa Burns - Principal

Welcome to Memorial Elementary School!  I am excited to be entering my 14th year as the Principal of Memorial Elementary School!  Prior to working at Memorial, I was the Director of Shining Star Early Childhood Center.  I am a lifelong Milford resident and I was a student at Memorial Elementary School.  After graduating from Milford High School, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Vermont.  I taught in a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool in Connecticut, before returning to my hometown of Milford Massachusetts.  I obtained a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University and a second Master’s Degree in Education Leadership from Endicott College.

Mrs. Leigh-Ann Evans

I am so excited to be joining the Memorial Elementary School team as the new Assistant Principal!  I have been a teacher, math coach and assistant principal for over 20 years and I am thrilled to be joining the Milford School community! I graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell with a Master’s in Education and, prior to that, I graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor’s in Psychology.   I was born and raised in Massachusetts and have lived in the area for over 25 years with my husband and 3 boys.

I am really looking forward to welcoming our students to Memorial School and working with all of our families this year.  As a life-long educator, it is important to me that we build a strong parent-school relationship with open communication to ensure the success of all of our students.
